Previous veterinary hospital experience is strongly preferred, but we’re also interested in candidates with excellent customer-service experience in a fast-paced medical, healthcare, hospitality, or service environment.
What You’ll Do
Our CSRs are an important part of both the client experience and the veterinary team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting clients and checking patients in and out
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Processing payments and assisting with client transactions
- Maintaining and updating client and patient records
- Coordinating communication between clients and the medical team
- Helping clients with questions and concerns in a professional, compassionate manner
- Supporting the veterinary team with day-to-day client service and administrative needs
- Helping create a positive, organized, and welcoming hospital environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary, medical, healthcare, or customer-service experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary software
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability for evenings and rotating Saturdays is required
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday; frequently move between the reception area, exam rooms, and other areas of the hospital; and occasionally lift and carry supplies weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. The position may also require bending, reaching, and safely handling animals as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities.
